European project ACTIVE ACCESS - Promoting mobility in walking and cycling
Active Access is an initiative of the Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE) program in order to promote walking and cycling in local short trips, to create healthy habits, improve the local economy and reduce the environmental impact of diary transport.
The Energy Agency of la Ribera carries out this project in the municipality of l’Alcúdia, where the objective is to encourage people to change habits in order to walk or bicycle to go shopping. Another goal is to increase walking and cycling routes to schools, creating a network of paths to promote this type of travel.
