Working Group on sustainable mobility, safety and healthy in the school

The objective of this group is to work at the schools introducing a culture of mobility safer, healthier and more sustainable but also to promote initiatives from the school improving mobility in the surroundings and family.
In addition the program “"Health promoter school" is working with people involved in the educational community as teachers and students with the objective to expand these ideas that to parents, partnerships, politicians and all the society.
The Group is an interdisciplinary team joining experts in education, safety, health care and sustainable mobility: Center for Public Health of Alzira, La Ribera Hospital, Cefire, Local Police, schools and the Energy Agency of La Ribera.
This group began its work in 2007 and since then its activities have been:
• Two training courses for teachers about school zones safety.
• Organization of a conference on safer, healthier and more sustainable mobility.
• Development of the Walking bus, designing the safe school routes.
